Long Island deserves a fighter in Albany.

Twenty-two years as a Suffolk County prosecutor. Now Kate is taking on cashless bail, sky-high taxes and Albany's war on the suburbs.

Meet Kate

"I spent 22 years putting dangerous people behind bars. Albany spent five letting them out."

Kate Delaney was born in Bay Shore and raised in a Long Island family of cops and teachers. After law school at Hofstra, she joined the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, where she rose to lead the Major Crimes Bureau and put gang leaders and fentanyl dealers in prison.

She and her husband Mike, a retired NYPD lieutenant, are raising two kids in Smithtown. Kate is running because Long Island families are paying more, feeling less safe, and being ignored by Albany — and she's done watching it happen.
